I wonder about this, are there other songs of early 60s whom is erlier then 64 have elements and what can be dared labled jazz-rock, as this song is on Wikipedia. Santana have covred it, which highlights the songs jazz-chords and Pat Metheney prices its chord uses. In the wiki article about Jazz rock i think this Zombies track ought to be recogniced as an early jazz-rock taste.Though the article totaly omits the Zombies track though it ought to be reccogniced for its earlyness.

Well the jazz influence is all over the debute album, chord structures and song buildups combined with rock and beat music

She's Not There is wonderful, but its really a brilliant pop-tune with a jazz-vibe. And there's lots of those to be found. Even in the 50's. Now check this psychedelic jazz-rock-world-fusion-monster form a year earlier. This really has a lot of things in common with the fusion that thing that exploded in the late 60's:

Same can actually be claimed for Lady Gabor from 1962 as well (especially if you stick around for Gabor Szabo protopsychguitar-licks):
