I wonder about this, are there other songs of early 60s whom is erlier then 64 have elements and what can be dared labled jazz-rock, as this song is on Wikipedia. Santana have covred it, which highlights the songs jazz-chords and Pat Metheney prices its chord uses. She's Not There is wonderful, but its really a brilliant pop-tune with a jazz-vibe. And there's lots of those to be found. Even in the 50's. Now check this psychedelic jazz-rock-world-fusion-monster form a year earlier. This really has a lot of things in common with the fusion that thing that exploded in the late 60's: Same can actually be claimed for Lady Gabor from 1962 as well (especially if you stick around for Gabor Szabo protopsychguitar-licks): |
