Hey there!

I'm Rubén Álvarez, member of the spanish rock band Chisme Animal.
Apart from joining Chisme Animal, recently I've been working on a solo EP, electronic oriented, which I've just published.

'Solstice' is my particular tribute to Jean-Michel Jarre and vintage electronic music of the '70s and' 80s. It is a suite divided into four parts, independent but linked together. Although the songs that are part of 'Solstice' are inspired by the work of Jarre, they are not versions or reinterpretations, but new and original compositions.

In 'Solstice', I have been in charge of the composition, recording, mixing and mastering of the whole project, as well as the design of the artwork.

'Solstice' is far from from the sound of most of my previous projects, which usually revolve around heavy metal, but incorporating other diverse influences, from progressive and symphonic rock to power metal, through electronic music, and many other genres.

'Solstice' is available in digitals platforms such as Spotify, iTunes or Bandcamp:

I would be grateful if you could take a moment to listen the EP and give me your honest opinion.

Thank you very much in advance!

Best regards
