I have to thank Jennifer Houston for introducing me to this artist via her new three hour weekly radio show 'Prog Chronicles', which airs on Prog Palace Radio, Sundays, 9:00 EDT, (14:00 BST). Some of you may already know Jen from her old progrock.com days, when she hosted another weekly three hour show called 'Discovering Prog in High Heels' up until around two years ago.
PyT (Pierre-Yves Theurillat) was born in Moutier, Switzerland , in 1971. He already has a presence on the site in the form of http://www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=120" rel="nofollow - Galaad , one of the very first clutch of bands to be added here back in the very early days of PA, whose bio could really do with a bit of a makeover, and who, despite being in the database for around 13 years now, still only have a single review posted for each of their two (quite excellent) albums.
Anyhow, Pierre-Yves Theurillat was actually the leader of Galaad - a band which also featured also keyboardist Gianni Giardiello, guitarist Sebastien Froidevaux, bassist Gerard Zuber and drummer Laurent Petermann.
It was a relatively short-lived project however, folding not long after the release of the second album 'Vae Victis' (1996), and Pierre-Yves Theurillat then seemed to just vanish into the undergrowth for 11 years - not returning to the music scene until 2007 as part of the band L'Escouade, who released just a single album in 2010 containing just over an hour of quite excellent, melodic, prog-tinged music called 'Confidences De Mouches'.
This album received some very favourable reviews indeed from the few people who heard it, and just like the band Galaad that went before them, they have remained a relative obscurity in the World of Francophone music who deserved a lot more exposure, right up to this day.
But encouraged by the favourable responses from those who did hear the album, Pierre-Yves Theurillat joined forces again with his old Galaad buddy and multi-instrumentalist Sebastien Froidevaux, and together with Diego Rapacchietti (drummer of the group Coroner), Jean-Luc Froidevaux (bass, accordion) and sound engineer Carryl Montini, he has since released two very fine albums under his own initials 'PyT' - namely 'Carnet d’un visage de pluie' (March 2013) and 'Mon grand amer' (May 2015).
There was also a live DVD released in December 2013 called 'PyT passe par le SAS, Live in Delémont 2013'.
Just for completeness, here is the info for the L'Escouade project:
'Confidences De Mouches' (2010)
1. Le Regard Dans Le Carreau (3:50)
2. C'est La Nuit (4:52)
3. Ecoute (2:58)
4. Bibi (6:35)
5. Un Mois De Mai (3:58)
6. Chance (5:29)
7. Tes Confidences De Mouches (8:01)
8. Comme Elle (4:04)
9. Le Coeur Pur (4:56)
10. Traverser Les Bois (5:50)
11. Elle A (4:31)
12. Dans La Grande Herbe Du Pré (4:35)
13. Pars (5:22)
Total Time 65:01
- Pierre-yves Theurillat / vocals
- Christian Schnyder / vocals, guitar
- Laurent Pétermann / drums, percussion,
- Sam Chapuis / bass, percussion, backing vocals
- Steve Fleury / keys, backing vocals
- Julien Revilloud / acoustic and rhythm guitar (2)
But this current suggestion is simply for PyT, and I'll leave it entirely up to the Crossover boys to decide whether or not they want to evaluate L'Escouade as well, but just in case they do, here are the relevant links:

No worries Keishiro...I didn't even know the guy existed until yesterday! He's been flying well below the radar for pretty much the whole of his career, so it won't hurt if the evaluation takes a wee while to complete.

Rejected, with three 'yes' votes out of four. Disappointing outcome, but there we are: http://progfreak.com/PyT-168383.html?path=pa/recent" rel="nofollow - http://progfreak.com/PyT-168383.html?path=pa/recent .
