Hello! I'm Lachlan, the bassist/songwriter/bandleader for a new prog band I've dubbed Pareidolon, from western Canada. There's 7 members in the band currently, and all of us are graduates of a music college program where we met. We managed to record a debut album in some spare time before graduation, making use of the free studio/equipment/personnel to essentially make a costless record. It's called "Aporķa" (a stylized spelling of the greek word for profound confusion, which seemed appropriate for some college kids lost in the world and the wandering nature of the album) and I've put the whole thing up on https://pareidolon.bandcamp.com" rel="nofollow - bandcamp , https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7x731Jt8_F8&t=1s" rel="nofollow - youtube and https://soundcloud.com/pareidolon" rel="nofollow - soundcloud for free, and there's physical CDs available from bandcamp as well. I wrote all these songs over the span of the program, and many were class propjects, so the styles are a bit unfocused and the songs not as long as I would have liked... but I'm still proud of how it turned out, especially given the circumstances.
