The Web is a band I've always been interested in. I own I Spider (1970) and Samurai (1971), and consider them essential brass-filled/jazz/proto-prog records. But I read that there was an album of there's called Goraias Bird Eater. I've never listened to it before. But, I just was curious if this was fronted by Dave Lawson, and if it was any count to buy...
Thanks!

The only one of those I have is Samurai. The only thing I found with a quick google search of the Web (haha) was Wikipedia's page on The Web. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Web_%28band%29" rel="nofollow - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Web_(band)

It lists Goraias Bird Eater as a The Web CD compilation put out by Disk Union from Japan (Disk Union Japan 7287 - 2008 [Bonus Tracks] (CD Compilation))

Just ordered Samurai on vinyl. I spider is very good too, but the last songs of the album are weaker.

I personally think Samurai is much more upbeat and stronger (musically) than I Spider. But they're both fantastic albums

Vinyl, that's the way I like my music. Samurai is a good album. Not to be confused with another Samurai I like, also known as Mickey Curtis and Samurai also known as Miki Curtis and the Samurais.
