^A tour in Europe is also coming, they'll be playing Fragile and Drama in full. I'm not a fan of the current Yes line-up though. ------------- |

Yeah, I just went to the Yes site and read up on the band. It's starting to look an awful lot like a Yes tribute band with special guests from Yes' past. Not to say it wouldn't be great music...but???? ------------- Thank you for supporting independently produced music |

I think they would get equal criticism for playing it safe with a greatest hits set list, so why not shoot for the stars?

I saw them in 2014 before Chris Squire died - I'm glad I did - it was a very enjoyable show, and everyone except Jon Davidson was a member at some point - I'm glad I got to see Chris Squire one more time, I saw him back around '87-'88 on the Big Generator tour - this was more enjoyable. Without him, I'm not so sure how much I'd be into it, but it would be interesting to see Downes, White & Howe doing the Drama stuff - that is one of my favorite Yes albums!

I didn't intend for this to be criticism, just an observation. Tales is rather complex and long which makes it an ambitious task to play live (in general). I suppose my use of fuddy-duddys clouded the issue. Totally, and it's definitely hype-worthy, imho. Especially TfTO, even though it's the first and last sides (which is the better and more consistent album, really, despite "The Remembering" being cut). ------------- Progrockdude |

This line up doesn't sound great ----and I have little faith they will bring any great live performances of these songs---the way Hackett's band does with the old Genesis classics---Big Yes fan but won't be seeing this--it's too painful at this point.

| I've seen them at least 12 times over the year's, first time on the Going For The One Tour back in 77 and most of the time they've been brilliant but the last couple of times I've felt as if they haven't been firing on all cylinders. Howe and Squire were great as always but Alan White seemed to be struggling in particular. I'm going to see them on this tour and looking forward to hearing Drama but it's with mixed feelings without Squire being there. This may be the last time I go and see them. |

I grieve Chris Squire, and I long for the days when Jon Anderson's vocal and lyrical powers were at their height, but I suppose that we must ask ourselves if we want Yes to exist in this century or not. When I compare seeing Jon Davison's fresh, joyful performance to some of the later work with Jon Anderson, I must admit that a revitalized Yes with new members is better than a tired and jaded Yes just phoning it in. We may eventually find ourselves thinking of the great progressive rock bands as orchestras continuing in the tradition of the founders. To me, it is worth something that Tales from Topographic Oceans is being performed this summer by musicians who evidently believe in the music. Making a trip down to Denver to see this seems like the highlight of the year. ------------- sad creature nailed upon the coloured door of time |

Their music can be played into infinity by great musicians and synphonic bands but this lineup doesn't play great Yes. And JD voice isn't very good---as Jon ANderson said---they keep going because it's a business. Supporting a lot of people. He also said he believes he is still Yes and doing Yes music. |

I've seen them live lately and it doesn't seem like a business to me. Not only is no one cynically milking the back catalogue for cash, they are planning to play songs that are less mass-market (Drama and TFTO) and more challenging. I'm not a Davidson fan myself, but I'm looking forward to seeing what they will do this summer.
