Never liked "Yesterday" that much but the other 3 are masterpieces and it's hard to choose between them. "For No One" and "She's Leaving Home" are brilliant lyrically as well as musically, HT&E is Macca's favourite and has some brilliant backing vocals.
I'm going to have to think about this one.

For no one (Revolver)

also the Long and Winding Road is pretty great as well
wouldn't Michelle be considered a ballad as well?
Blackbird
Mother Nature's Son
Let It Be

and I'm sure there are more

I've gone for "For No One" but it could have been any of the others (except Scrambled Eggs).

And I Love Her

Fool On The Hill (probably the best of the lot)

None of these compare to No More Lonely Nights.......... Gilmour is the one.
From the poll, for me - not a huge Beatles fan TBH, Here, There Everywhere. Prefer Your Mother Should Know , both lyrically and melodically (musically).

Blackbird or Let It Be would've won. But I'll choose She's Leaving Home.

She's Leaving Home, no doubt.
One of McCartney's very best.
Absolutely spine chilling.

Yesterday's a classic, She's Leaving Home is fantastic, not too familiar with For No One, but Here, There, and Everywhere for me beats them all to the punch, so that gets my vote.

Yes it is. And yes it does. Coincidentally it was the number I first thought of when I saw the subject.
