Hello our friends,

here is some info about our band:

PERSONA GRATA - progressive rock group from Slovakia - influenced by groups such as Yes, Queen, Dream Theater and contemporary Muse, the band developed a sound that is a natural evolution of all the above inspirations together with emphasis on melody and complex rhythms.

After short but creative break, Persona is back with the new band members. Musicians are currently preparing new album and plan to release it at the beginning of 2014. Brand new song & video Forevermore - give some insigts into the band's new vibe and demonstrates skills of new mates:  Peter Luha (lead guitar) and Matej Miklos (keyboards).

At the same time, Persona Grata is releasing completely remixed and remastered debut album Reaching Places High Above.
Despite being Persona’s first officially recorded album, it managed to establish a position of the band as one of the best progrock projects in this part of Europe.  This album is something that everybody who listens to Progressive Rock or Progressive Metal on any scale should listen to, hands down (…). In a scene where there are numerous clones and rehashes, this album is a breath of fresh air.”- Prog Sphere

Previously recorded demo version of RPHA was very well received by the critics and progrock community. We however, never felt that this album was officially finished. We were constantly working on it, adding layers, changing sounds and playing with it, at the same time being happy that this piece received so many positive reviews. The only thing that RPHA was missing was the professional mix, which would bring out all the sounds at the same time creating synergy with all the arrangements.“  explain Ján Steno (drums) and Martin Stavrovský (vocals).

The concept album consists of 50 minutes of material. „Especially worth mentioning is the instrumental trilogy Orient Express, describing an unbelievable journey from a marketplace in Istanbul - one of the most significant cities in history - to Venice - place once known as the ‘Queen of Adriatic’,“ describes Timo Stries (bass guitar).

The album Reaching Places High Above is available on  iTunes, Amazone a CDBaby.
