We all love old country music, don't we?  I'm just including some early names in this poll, so no Gene Autry etc.

I don't know anything about early country, and out of this list I've only heard of the Carter family...but I'm voting other for Buck Owens.  Without his Bakersfield twang the Grateful Dead & Creedence Clearwater Revival would never have sounded so good Wink

Sorry, this is about early country music - pre 1930s.  Buck Owens wasn't even born until 1929. Try someone else, like maybe Bill Haley

Haven't listened to enough of those choices to even name one....I do like some country from the 50's forward though....I''ll wait for your next poll.

Oh well...not interested in Bill Haley at all...the only pre 30's American music I care for is blues a la Robert Johnson Evil Smile

I don't think people made albums in those days. It was all 78s, wasn't it?
