It's easier to listen our music than trying to explain it. This is our latest album, only couple weeks old.

Yep, back in the day those "Futurama Bells" were called Tubular bells! ;D We have precussion player in the band novadays and have take full advantage of him in this album. Tubulars, Kettle drums, Marimbas, Vibraphones, Tam Tam Cymbals... This guy plays also in one of the best progbands ever! It's called Uzva. |

Yep, we usually support Ozrics everytime they are in Finland, I think first time was 2001. Wery cool band and very nice people!

Dude, really, Tubular Bells is one of those iconical prog albums that everybody should know in a prog comunity, like or dislike.

Probably... I guess I was speaking gibberish when referring to them as futurama bells... On the other hand, I guess everybody knew what the f**k I was talking about  It's not like it's the first time I'm hearing the instrument, my positive response was directed towards the usage of it in the specific manner... Hope this serves as an argument for being accepted in your community, even though I didn't realise what a specific percussion instrument was called?  If not, what then if I promise to listen to this never-heard-of, obscure Tubular Bells album you speak of?

This is obviously not the best place to ask, but any idea what's going on with Uzva nowadays? Any recordings being done? Their website isn't so helpful, actually just now I couldn't even find it... Just listened to a couple of their albums today, I want more!
And not to be completely off-topic, I like you too. Symetria is the only album I have so far, I'll be checking out the new one soon. I also saw you opening for Porcupine Tree a few years back, it was a good show.

I love Uzva too. One of the finest modern Canterbury acts around imo. Haven't heard anything from/about them in a looooooong while though. It was over a year ago they last logged onto their Myspace profile too...
Maybe they just stopped playing? I sure don't hope so |

At some point they went back to playing live with a smaller ensemble, not much more than the core rock instruments. I saw one such show, maybe a year ago, and it was the least pleasing of the five or so gigs I've seen.
I bump into Heikki Puska once in a while, maybe next time I'll go up and ask the man myself.
