Carved in Ashes is a Helsinki-based atmospheric progmetal-band, formed in 2009. The band released its' critically acclaimed 3-track debut-EP independently in August 2010. The opening track, Dark Pity, was picked for a freebie download compilation album, Unearthed - A Guide To New Music Volume 1, by Melodic Revolution Records, in Florida, USA, in the spring 2011.

The follow-up release, The Drowned Silhouette-EP, was released first digitally in March 2012, and as a limited edition digipak in June 2012. The EP has already received some fairly good reviews in Finnish music magazines (Soundi 9/2012) and in Finnish e-zines (Vertigo, Noise) - and even a legendary British producer Stuart Epps commented on the epic track of the EP, Lupus Homini, via MusicXRay. All of these reviews are found on the band's website, along with the music. You can download the debut-EP for free on the Discography-page - in the "choose a price"-box enter a zero amount and off you go!

Welcome aboard. Hug

I've checked your official website and samples upon there ... Dramatic melodic soundscape.
Cool indeed. Clap
