Had to go with Genesis (i liked the 76-78 era)  ...but my god... the torture of not selecting many MANY more from this list!  There are six here i cannot live without!!!

Good poll!  Made me smile and full of pride knowing I GOTS SOME DAMN GOOD TASTE!

I always vote for YES.....when PINK FLOYD are not in.
I stand with Roger Waters, I stand with Joan Baez, I stand with Victor Jara, I stand with Woody Guthrie. Music is revolution

Genesis, Floyd, Yes, Transatlantic, Opeth, PT in that order.

The rest are nowhere near them.

Yes, followed by King Crimson, Pink Floyd, and Genesis in no particular order.  My own favorites list would also include Jethro Tull and Vangelis.

Seriously though, due to the low post-count, I suppose that the topic starter could not make this poll in Prog Polls, unless things have changed.  Although I moved this, this is not an open invitation to create polls in the wrong section that will then be moved.  Suggest New Bands is for suggesting bands to be included in PA's database.

King Crimson and Pink Floyd are my favourites of these.

Excellent observation. he shouldn't be able to make a poll..........

I thought I'd read that members with low post counts cannot make polls in any section that allows polls to me made by members, but I wondered if that was limited to Prog Polls.  Perhaps it had not been enabled for all forums that allow polls (what I was guessing when I saw this poll made in Suggest new Bands).  And perhaps there's been a  change to the voting restrictions by M@X, or a glitch.
It was enabled for Newbies to make polls in Suggest New Bands, but since this is apparently open to abuse, I've disabled that permission for all Newbies too now.

Then, I'm not sure why anyone should be able to make polls in Suggest New Bands, it's not like we're running a raffle to include bands.

Urm, guys, if you read the first comments, you'll see why it went where it went.
Music is about music. Not mass-produced sounds. Prog is the answer. The answer to everything musical. Prog uses instruments, ensembles and decent materials.
Prog is the answer.

Your computer froze, and so did my brain.

I usually am quite careful about reading, or at least scanning, through the posts (if not a long thread) before posting such things myself, so sorry for missing your explanation.
