Press release from psych vinyl enthusiast label Fruits de Mer records (edited)

----

Evenin' all,

Hope you're enjoying our 'Wicker Man' and 'Luck of Eden Hall' 7" singles - they both sold out pretty much instantly so we'd like to think somebody is!

We also hope you're in the mood for a large dollop of fresh vinyl before Christmas, as we have three more cracking (but not crackly) release for you before the end of the year.

So, what do we have lined up for you? There are full details of each one at www.fruitsdemerrecords.com, but here's a taster:

'Keep Off The Grass' - a double LP of covers of classic and long-lost sixties psychedelia, fuzz and the like. Tracks originally recorded by The Byrds, Chocolate Watch Band, Pink Floyd, John's Children, Skip Spence, The Nazz and many more are dusted down and lovingly recreated by the likes of The Bevis Frond, Permanent Clear Light, Earthling Society, Dead Sea Apes and Cranium Pie's Baking Research Station
 - there are 85 minutes worth of it; this is a quick preview of Jay Tausig's cover of The Nazz's 'Open My Eyes'  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5qeUd3y5o98

'Do Not Adjust Your Set' - classic 60s/70s TV themes reinterpreted on 7" vinyl (colour, of course). 'White Horses', 'Robinson Crusoe', 'Fireball XL5' and three more - lovely stuff for kids that never grew up, like us. Stuart Maconie has already given the BBC side a play on 'Freak Zone' and promised to air the ITV side soon  - here's an excerpt of one of the BBC tracks http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HK7TE3S5ceg

'The Fruits de Mer/Regal Crabomophone 2012 Annual' - this time it's a double 7" of tracks we were determined to release before the year ran out. Tracks old and new, by artists old and new, including new tracks by Vibravoid and The Bordellos, and a previously-unreleased song from the 70s by Beau (yes, 'Creation'/Dandelion Beau!). This is the start of a 7 minute epic from Permanent Clear Light http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f973Sd_3WSE

By the way, if  you fancy treating yourself or you'd like to suggest your wife. husband, partner, kids or loved ones buys you the perfect Christmas gift, what about the one-size-fits-all Fruits de Mer scarf? Only £10 including postage; we're down to our last box of them, so head over to http://www.fruitsdemerrecords.com/scarf.html and surprise yourself

all the best

Keith & Andy
