FTTW is gone. Thanks to everyone who participated in the site, whether it was writing or reading. Faster Than The Blog lives. FTTW archives. A Dark Matter ...

In other words, THEIR SITE is the one that can harm your computer, GOOGLE advices.

    • But more:

It's not rare for a Punk site to attack Progressive Rock, specially the most successful Prog site.

I am reporting what my computer informed me, I don't care what you believe, I will agree the pa site is probably fine but to ignore malware warnings is not wise

Yea, I've seen this. It's usually when and ad for the website appears or is posted on a page and Chrome is warning you not to go there, I'm pretty sure.

Hey, cool yourself, I don't doubt your system warned you, I care for what you said, that's why I double checked even when this has happened before and somebody managed to copy the warning (Which was wrong)..

What I'm telling you is not to worry, this happens very often and never is true, that's why I checked the system.

I don't want to change the focus of this discussion, but this info about punk sites it's true, or only a joke that I didn't understood, Ivan?

It's not a joke, it happened before, a member posted a warning page that was triggered in the same moment he entered to another punk site saying that Prog Archives was harmful and that had multiple malware objects this red page had also advertising for the Punk site, it was verified.

You can search in Bugs section and you'll find it...I have sense of humor, but don't joke with this issues.

Thanks for the reply, Ivan. Man, these guys don't know how to play music, and want to mess with who likes prog. Shame to them...

Ivan, I think you're misunderstanding. I am pretty sure he got the warning when he was on PA because PA was going to display an advertisement from that site, which has been compromise, he's not referring to something that was published by them. Putting a virus on your site so you can pay to advertise on other websites and ensnare some people is not something people do.

It is true PA has had attacks, but those were just script kiddies. I don't think their music taste particularly matters.

I'm sure of that, it's business.

BTW: Not only script kiddies, PA was down a couple of days once.

How is it business to infect your own site to try to sabotage a prog site because you like punk?

That does not at all mean that it wasn't script kiddies.

Yes, I believed it was like the last time, when each time you entered t certain sites, a warning was triggered not to visit PA because it was infected.

I believe I misunderstood this time.
