Yesterday I had a sudden urge to listen to Yessongs, which I have on vinyl but have never owned (or actually seen) it on CD. Perpetual Change is probably my favourite track on the album, so I was a bit puzzled when I went to download it from 7Digital and found that their version of Yessongs included the original studio version of PC.

I then went to Amazon where their version seemed ok, but having downloaded it and listened to it this morning, I found their version also has the studio version!

Does anyone know why this is? Is it possibly something to do with Bill Bruford and copyright or have both 7Digital and Amazon got a strange version of Yessongs?

You could be right, it just seems strange that both have the same studio version. Just checked with Amazon again and Perpetual Change and Mood for a Day are not specifically labelled as "live version" or "Live LP version from Yessongs" as the other tracks are but if I download Yessongs, I want Yessongs not the studio versions!

I also missed 1 review where someone pointed out that some tracks are studio versions. Cry It wouldn't have been quite so bad if it hadn't been the one track I Censored wanted!

If you really want to bum yourself out, try the video.
Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...
