Not sure about those. We always do it for "The", but I believe "A" is different.
What is the usual way of handling these bands on other sites?
Is there also a language issue with some?

A for A BARCA DO SOL is definite (same as The).
A for A PIEDI NUDI is a preposition (same in Portuguese, Italian, Spanish, etc), and equals to With (Moris got it
