Ok - kinda stupid question, but on the anniversary edition of Deep Purple's In Rock, track 9 is entitled studio chat and about 5 seconds in they play an extremely familiar piano line from a song. Sounds kinda jazzy. I really want to know what the song is called/who it's by?

It's bugging me 'cos it's so familiar.

Boy that's annoying. Yes, it is very familiar isn't it. I think it was a TV theme tune. Was it the theme to The South Bank Show (Melvyn Bragg) maybe? Or perhaps a sitcom.

Thank  you!

I think my father used to play it when I was younger, 'cos it seems so familiar.
