How about an advanced search for it? Would be nice to look for specific gender, age, country, etc. (I'm single and lonely-- sue me).

While we in countries where a lot of members are might not see great use for this, those in countries with much fewer prog fans may well find the facility useful. The suggestion is not without merit.
