Excellent choice - I agree wholeheartedly with your number one!  My three would be:

1. All Of The Above - Transatlantic
2. Awaken - Yes (a short epic, but a classic nonetheless)
3. Misplaced Childhood - Marillion (the whole album as one epic suite on commonthread songs, split "at the seam" from vinyl side A to side B)

There are many I like, and all from the classic era of prog. However, if I have to choose only three, let's see....

Yes - CTTE
ELP - Tarkus
Caravan - Nine Feet Underground

With a very honourable mention for a concept-album-cum-epic, that is, JT's "Thick As a Brick".

Don't know if all of these would be called epic but as far as long songs go...
Magma - Köhntarkösz
Univers Zero - La Faulx
Yes - The Gates of Delirium

I also agree with one of the previous posters that The Sky Moves Sideways is the best PT song.. it just doesn't quite top the above 3 for me!

Supper's Ready - Genesis
The Gates of Delirium - Yes
Tales from Topographic Oceans - Yes (it's all one epic song with four movements, it's not an album really)

I'll comply with the "over fifteen" rule, although I feel that's a tad unfair. No "When the Music's Over" that way.

First, and formost, gotta give props to my man "Tank as a Bank," as if you couldn't see that coming. Just the greatest album ever made, that's all.

Second, and ever so slightly less foremost, "Super's Needy." Certainly the most Brick-like of the various opussies in general, and perhaps the quintessential Genesis song (although "Dancing Without a Moonlit Shirt" certainly gives it a run for its money).

And, just because I haven't seen it so far, and just because I haven't hear "Tarkus" yet, "Punktures at an Explanation." Quite underrated, as far as "live/let's play an entire classical styled piece" albums go.

For the moment I'll let it go with that. I mean, if I honestly thought about this, I'd probably never say anything. Just three? And over fifteen? You're killing me...
"There seem to be quite a large percentage of young American boys out there tonight. A long way from home, eh? Well so are we... Gotta stick together." -I. Anderson
