To many good bands to choose from. From the poll options I do like the first 8 bands, Manowar (first 4 albums) + Slayer a lot.
However my vote goes to Black Sabbath (because of their sheer importance for the genre).

Black Sabbath is easily my choice, as their music is just simply much more enjoyable to me than any of the others, not to mention their vast influence on all the other bands mentioned in this poll. It makes sense that progheads would choose them over the others because of their longer compositions such as War Pigs and the general era in which their music was produced.

Black Sabbath
These guys marked my life with many songs when I was 12/13 y.o. and I still enjoy the Osbourne and Dio eras... GrReat music!!!
I have to say that Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Mötorhead and AC-DC are still into my favourites, specially when I became an old rocker some week ends along with my childhood friends and we remember those nostalgic years... We still enjoy these old classics... yeah!

Black Sabbath by far. The first band i really got into.
Metallica, AC/DC, Megadeth, Iron Maiden are also quite good. I just don't listen to music like that often nowadays

without Black Sabbath most of the other bands listed would not have
started, besides you could argue that Sabbath is the runner up as most
influential band in rock history (the first being of course the
Beatles).
