Apparently, everytime I close all of the PA forums pages opened, the next time I come back to the forums, I am logged off.

This has never happened to me before, as I used to remain logged in for weeks sometimes in the past. And no, I did not reset cookies/history/etc.

Does this happen to anyone else?

Maybe it's because you use Quick Login? (Do you?)

Does it still happen? I just remembered something: browsers have in their options panel the option to "delete cookies when closing a page". You should check it, maybe it's selected - that would be the explanation, then.

Have you been using a different browser?

I used to get this problem if I switched between IE and Firefox. There were certain Admin/Mod functions that performed better with Firefox and some were better with IE7 so I used to use both. However Firefox refused to stay logged in or sometimes would say I was logged in when I wasnt...

No, I've been using IE for a long time now. The problem was a problem, however, on the day I posted it. I am no longer logged off. Smile

Since the page layout (and security?) changed I run into the following problem:

When I'm logged in to the forum and open the main PA page in a seperate (Firefox) tab to e.g. look at a review, I get logged out of the forum. Hasn't happened before, and it's very annoying. Hints or fixes welcome!

I had problems today, too. I had Firefox installed on the computer at work by my administrator, and it doesn't want to log me in. Really strange; I checked the preferences but found nothing wrong. Good thing that IE does remember my account and signs me in.

^So do I - and given the age of this thread, I'd love a response from our beloved web master on this.... CryWink

I'll prompt him. There are some other issues being worked just now though. Please be patient.

Thanks Bob, I'll be patient - I thought I'd just give the thread a bump.

It's quite annoying - you're looking at a thread in the forum, find a reference to a band or an album and after you looked that up in the archives you have to login to the forum again. Confused

Interesting Tony, but I visit many sites and I won't let a single site's problem make me switch browsers. There's to many advantages in Firefox over IE to do that.
