^ Thanks for the reports. I have translated both reviews to English and will try to contact the one who submitted the reviews.

Yep, huge amount of abuse and the 5 stars across Sub Rosa albums. It a bazillion Brazilian accounts to deal with ratings. Be so much easier if I were to just delete the albums. Dealt with. Will have to continue to keep an eye on the Sub Rosa pages.

This appears to be a review of the music on Talking Heads “Little Creatures” rather than Remain in Light?!

i was hoping he would see the Social Comment and take action. I have deleted the review and will try to contact the reviewer.

Already forgotten, seriously, I have memory issues.    And I make mistakes often enough. I'm getting too old to care unless it it is something really important.

Yeah. I misunderstood what you had said.... and funny enough, I noticed that you were joking after posting my impulsive reply. xDDD Yeah, that was embarrassing. So, let's forget that flub.

That was intended as a joke. We also have rules against swearing. I have alerted you before, even very recently after removing a post of yours.

The rules should be written in all languages so that all can understand. ;) Most who speak French have some understanding of English and commonly those who speak English could understand a lot of written French. I plan to edit that with the translated version even though online translators are not ideal.

Here it is in French by Arrakeen

Quote Mostly Autumn : Un Voyage Musical Captivant

Here it is in English:

Quote Mostly Autumn: A Captivating Musical Journey

Mostly Autumn's latest opus confirms the band's place as one of the most important bands on the current progressive rock scene.

With this new album, the British band offers us a collection of rich and nuanced compositions that testify to their artistic evolution while remaining faithful to their roots. From the first notes, we recognize Mostly Autumn's distinctive sonic identity: captivating melodies carried by the extraordinary voice of Olivia Sparnenn-Josh, complex but accessible arrangements, and this unique ability to create atmospheres that evoke at times the misty moors of Yorkshire, at times cosmic landscapes.

The album is distinguished by its thematic coherence and musical diversity. The compositions alternate meditative passages and explosions of energy, with impressive technical mastery. Bryan Josh, guitarist and main composer, once again demonstrates his talent for creating memorable solos and catchy riffs, while leaving space for each musician to express themselves.

The lyrics, introspective and poetic, explore universal themes such as the passage of time, the connection to nature, and the search for meaning in a constantly changing world. This lyrical depth, combined with the richness of the arrangements, invites repeated listening to grasp all the subtleties.

What is also striking in this album is the perfect balance between tradition and innovation. We find the folk and classic rock influences that have forged the identity of the group, but also a desire to explore new sonic territories, notably through the judicious use of keyboards and orchestral sections.

Mostly Autumn proves with this new album that they remain a major creative force in contemporary progressive rock, capable of touching both aficionados of the genre and newcomers.

An ambitious and moving work that amply deserves the attention of lovers of demanding music.

Yes, it is indeed a rule. I think the reviewer didn't read the rules before posting their review because they couldn't understand them. xd Ironic.

Thanks to auto-translate, I can say that this is a decent review. But isn't there a rule that all reviews must be in English?

Thanks! I've even liked (or, to be precise, my kids especially liked it) the album itself, and gave it 4 stars.

I remember the Brazilian attorney used to rate every Jon Anderson's album with 5 stars multiplied by nearly 100 accounts. I have purchsed (luckily in a discount) the Deseo remixes because of him.
I stand with Roger Waters, I stand with Joan Baez, I stand with Victor Jara, I stand with Woody Guthrie. Music is revolution

^ Thanks, unfortunately such rating abuse can be all too common I will investigate more later. Yep, definitely lots of abuse with at least one rater creating lots of accounts to rate with 5's. Will deal with.

EDIT: That took a long time to confirm and delete as I wanted to be sure, so many ratings to go through and deal with. As it turns out, every 5 star rating other than uber-rater dannyb came from the same user. Some people go very, very hard on promotion and it often can end up reflecting badly on the band.

SUB ROSA KriTherion & other Sub Rosa albums

Almost all 5 star ratings are by new accounts, which are being created every day.
Sad it's really needed

Well, actually it kind of always is a challenge. I'm not very comfortable being direct commonly and as for being comprehensible, I've been told that I barely say a word that can be understood (I think the words themselves are fine usually, it's more how I string them together).

I got hit with multiple COVIDs and flus (missed my boosters due to getting sick) and it has majorly affected my respiratory system. That is getting better slowly, but I feel like I'm in a fog all the time. And now I am barely sleeping. Not at all compos mentos and thus my depression has got worse. I am planning to go to California soon (my wife travels there now twice a month) and I think that should do me good.

Yes the sunshine will help.  That's why I now winter in NM.  Take advantage!
