I saw this movie P for Pitch or something about this dude who loves the Boston Sox and has thsi girl who basically tears him away from his love for the sox, and in the end essentially you are supposed to laugh at him for having this love for baseball while he should have been with this girl.
Complete bullsh*te.
If i were sleeping with a super hot babe, or even a girl i loved, and Genesis re-united that night out of NO WHERE and i saw it on TV...WOW, there is NO WAY I would stay in bed with her, i would jump out, grab my clothes and SINCERELY apologise, really, i would be SO SORRY but i would have to go see the re-union, FAR MORE IMPORTANT!!!
There is a scene just like this in the movie, where he is sleeping with this girl that he is supposed to be in love with and he turns on the tube and it is "the best game of baseball, ever, news coverage" and it was some boston game, i guess when they beat the yanks? So anyways, this is JUST as big to him and he decides to leave, but the movie makes it like its wrong.
wow, so awful, so awful...the movie should of been about how GREAT it was that he wasnt mindlessly consumed in a GIRL that he couldnt enjoy a different form of love, his love for Baseball!!

nop need to wrry clemo im in perfectly good health and mind, and despite my suddon disagreement and aggrivation towards yours comment, i wont worry about you, im just not that kinda guy 
i guess that means im going to the genesis re-union and your staying in bed with some woman?

I don't think Jen is a dude   Anyways, I get what you're saying, the basic point is that society is making him give up his love to conform to its standards, in this case, sex with a girl he supposedly "loves", all indirectly of course (although knowing Hollywood these days it's probably 'hey she's hot' 'yeh i wanna bang her' type sh*t) ....and are you sure it wasn't called Fever Pitch? That was that god awful Jimmy Fallon movie with an awfully similar plot

Fever Pitch was originally written by Nick Hornby and was about Football (Soccer). It had the dude who played Mr. Darcy in it, if I remember rightly. I've not seen it, but Nick Hornby is not a bad writer...

As much as I love Genesis, I would have to take sleeping with a hot girl. Unfortunately for me, that's less likely to happen than the original Genesis lineup re-uniting.
