We've all taken tests over the years (IQ tests, college entrance exams, pre-employment tests) where you had to try to complete analogous items.  Example: "As hammer is to nail, screwdriver is to ______."  I thought it would be fun to do this with prog music , comparing it to other musical genres.

I'll do a couple to give you the general idea:

I'd rather listen to prog than punk, for the same reason I'd rather watch a PBS Documentary about Mars than a WWF Wrestling Smackdown.

I'd rather listen to prog than country music, for the same reason that I'd rather go see George Carlin than Jeff Foxworthy.

I'd rather listen to prog than that American Idol-style garbage, just like I'd rather go to a movie like "Lord of the Rings" than "Miss Congeniality 2".

       Exercise your brain!

I'd rather listen to prog than emo like I'd rather watch Family Guy than anime

I'd rather listen to prog than generic radio rock like I'd rather paint in Surrealism style than Neoclassical
