Topic: a superhero right here at Progarchives! Posted: November 25 2005 at 20:59 |
Well, I'm Batman, and I'm new here. I'm not a huge prog fan (in fact, it isn't even my favorite genre), but hopefully coming here will increase my prog-knowledge. My favorite kind of prog is symphonic prog. My top 5 prog bands are Yes, Gentle Giant, The Mahavishnu Orchestra, Jethro Tull, and ELP (in that order). You may have seen me at the Songfacts forums, the guitartabs forums (as pooponabagel), or the Digital Dream Door forums.

Haha, yeah, I made it a while ago at the DDD forums. For some reason, there was a thread called "Post pictures of Phil Collins" so I decided to make a really weird one.
Another thing I should say in my welcome thread, here's my top 7 favorite bands from any genre (I'd do more, except only bands 1-7 are definitive at the moment, the rest shift places constantly). In this order; Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, Queen, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Parliament/Funkadelic, Yes

Well, like I said, it's not my favorite genre. But it's one of my favorites.

Hey dude, I'm new here too but since I don't like introducing myself and all that stuff I'll post it here.
I'm a vampire, new to prog too, been listening to Pink Floyd for a
year, Rush, Genesis, Yes and all those great bands listed here.
Hmm, that's about it.

Hi Batman and welcome!
I am glad to see that there are others that like Tales from the topographic oceans. I think it is more or less in the same class as the other early great albums by this fantastic band.
