The PSIKE team has cleared Blistering Moments for addition; we just need a biography and we'll be good to go.

Thanks as always, David, though I, too, hope Rik chimes in. Excited to listen to this later, will take to the team.

^ I'll commit to putting together a biography for you from the bits and pieces that we have at the moment if nothing more substantial is forthcoming from Rik himself, but it would obviously be better if it came from the pen one of the band members rather than being pieced together from a collection of scraps picked up from the Internet. Embarrassed

Edit: Good, hi-res (1000x1000) .jpg front of album sleeve image here (Plexus Records).

We will definitely need a biography from someone, but the above info points to PSIKE being the best fit - you definitely got my attention at "Krautrock" and "British post-industrial," and RYM tags their sole album as "Ambient, Industrial, Drone, Sound Collage, Minimal Synth, Progressive Electronic."

This music isn't my cup of tea at all, lol, but it sounds like it might be worth throwing the suggestion across to the Prog Electronic team in the first instance (though that sub is not my own particular 'specialist subject' to say the least!).

On Discogs the album is described as Genre: Electronic, Style: Industrial, Experimental, Ambient.

There are a few of these LPs for sale on eBay for between 50 and 100 bucks, and this listing has a pretty good upload of the sleeve image, from which I cropped a band photo (if nothing better is forthcoming from Rik himself) and some info to create a biography from.

There was a used copy of the LP for sale on Sheyeye Records (now sold), from where I copied this:

"Blistering Moments is a group from Texas formed by Jim Leggett and Rikky Wilson, who also worked under other names such as Surgical II's and Unca Meat in the 1980s and 1990s. Their style, which is in line with Krautrock and British post-industrial, is more highly regarded in Europe than in their home country, and this 1986 album, the only work under the same name, was released by a British underground label. This is home-recorded mind music that carefully layers industrial noise, voices, tape collage, etc., centered around symphonic-touch synthesizer sounds. The preview begins with a spectacular scene in which an impression of pale light emerges from a swaying belt of noise."

I think there's enough here now to evaluate the band, if Rik doesn't provide any additional info himself, that is. Embarrassed

^ Biography (of sorts, but a useable one could easily be constructed from it) here, album here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QMGsjcY4krc. Haven't looked for an artist photo as yet, but since the proposer was a member of the band, that shouldn't be too difficult to find. Smile
