Hi everyone,

I play keys and electric violin for an emerging prog rock band from New Jersey called The Inquisition. We are releasing our debut full-length concept album, The Magi of Kent Act 1, in March, and hosting our record release show on the 15th of the same month. Born out of the Covid-19 pandemic, this album is a fantasy epic expositing themes of power and corruption in modern big Pharma and government, told through the sonic lens of crossover progressive rock of the 70s.

We're all multi-instrumentalists and have incorporated a diverse range of orchestration, from folk tracks using a locally-made mountain dulcimer and recorder trio, to metal tracks using classical motifs with overdrive, as well as reeds players providing a chamber rock color. Our frontman, Tobias Stearns, is the mastermind writer, director, and producer.

We had our first major live performance of both Acts 1 and 2 in the summer, linked below:

This is our first music video released just a few days ago:

This is our website with links to singles already available on streaming platforms and our social media:

I'm happy to join this community and put our project out there Big smile

Hey everyone!

Our first studio album, The Magi of Kent, Act 1: Turn of the Tide has officially been released!
Please give it a listen if you love allegories veiled in fantasy operas in the style of Peter Gabriel's Genesis, or Roger Waters' Pink Floyd.
