A-Z of Danish Prog Artists

SVARTBAG      An introspective band of minimalistic post rockers who no doubt spend a lot of time gazing at their highly polished shoes. Smile

A-Z of Danish Prog Artists

TINKICKER      Not a group of air crash investigators, but one of only two Danish Heavy Prog bands (the other being Odd Palace). Tinkicker deliver ass-kicking, rip-roaring power chords in the style of Black Sabbath, combined with tenuous Progressive Rock influences including Pink Floyd. The band refer to themselves mockingly as Pink Sabbath, and they have the pink hair to go with it too! Smile

A-Z of Danish Prog Artists

VAERKET      Saving the best till (next to) last again, this is the stunning new sound of Vaerket (The Works), a scintillating Eclectic Prog sextet who are all fired up and locked and loaded with awesome weapons of mass construction, sounding like a God Almighty powerful new hybrid of Mostly Autumn and Jethro Tull, on steroids! It's enough to hit Ian Anderson with a fit of jealousy. Cool

A-Z of Danish Prog Artists

ZARAGON      Also the title of John Miles' third album, Symphonic Prog band Zaragon must have really meant it when they titled their album "No Return", seeing as it turned out to be their one and only album, although that only makes it all the more special. Definitely an album worth returning to again and again, and all of the lyrics are in English too. Mange tak! Smile

Hi,

The Savage Rose early stuff is "hidden" ...

Nothing like adding insults to injury and sadness (... not you Paul ... ) of a band that really put out and tried, and simply was not lucky enough to get a few more appreciative comments in various places.

It kinda takes the desire and attempt to listen to some of the band completely out of choice and try ... I went after someone else, after 3 different "hidden" pages.

So sad ...  this hurts the music, even if the band is trying hard to protect its work ... but more folks not seeing it, or having an alternative to see it, and maybe listen ...

Right ... next?
Music is not just for listening ... it is for LIVING ... you got to feel it to know what's it about! Not being told!

^ Your Daily Gift and Refugee were the only two Savage Rose albums that were hidden from me on YouTube, although I listened to the individual tracks from those two albums too. Have you checked out Wild Child (1973)? - the best Savage Rose album of all. Thumbs Up

Thanks for the run through Psychic Paul. You made some interesting selections. Personally, I would have liked to see more of the newer Danish prog.

My pleasure! Out of all the newer Danish prog bands I've listened to, Vaerkat are the cat's whiskers! Smile
