There are several on the list Julien provided that have always resonated with me because of my having picked up the presence/sound of the French horn. (Too many to list.)

Nice to have more albums to visit for the same! Thanks, Julien!

While compiling a poll I stumbled upon this band, which uses French horn on their different albums: Torngat. They're on projeKct's list, but that one is a bit... intimidating... Embarrassed Hence this post. They're also on bandcamp. I think you might like them, Mira.
I listened to their two latest albums in the mean time, of which I personally prefer You Could Be. A track of this one, Minute by Minute:

Hi,

I think we should add PDQ Bach to this list ... and make sure that we state that PDQ Bach would also use such instruments as the bicycle wheel, the garden hose, and other homemade instruments.

French Horn? You know that PDQ made very sure that this instrument was NEVER neglected, but do we have the discipline to listen to music that is different from a lot of the stuff that we usually listen to? You'll probably never will go looking for a French Horn and instead wonder if that thing used over there was some kind of Neptunian Horn! Wink
Music is not just for listening ... it is for LIVING ... you got to feel it to know what's it about! Not being told!
