I think this band doesn't get a lot of attention in the archives, so it's time to change that! from the first listen i was intrigued and they never disappoint.

I wondered what on Earth the title of this thread could mean. I've never heard of a group called Car Bomb before, probably because they don't get a lot of attention on Prog Archives. Smile

It's not my cup of tea then if they're a Mathcore band. Too noisy. I should have guessed they'd be rather noisy though. The clue was in the band name.  Wink

They're pretty good on CD and live, but this is mostly a progressive rock website. They're mathcore, which does not seem to have a good following here.

I can see why it gets a bad rap, but I mean you have Dillinger Escape Plan and it's doing fairly well...

Also the band cite Frank Zappa as an influence Wink

I like early Car Bomb. Their new album is going down the trap of adding to much alt metal to the mix and losing that effective raging effect that the early albums had. They have done good with their prog-core metal. Mathcore is not appreciated in either the prog or metal worlds, however it is one of the coolest hybrid mixes that implements the extremes of prog and the extremes of metal all in one mix.

w^w^^w^w is one of my absolute favorite albums! Their other stuff is real good too. They seem to be the main torch bearers of mathcore in the 2010s.

Early Car Bomb probably defines Mathcore but shouldn't they be in the sister site Metal Music Archives?

I do think I would go that far, but I do love this album and for me it's definitely their best. I quite like Meta as well. I remember liking their latest as well, but I don't recall much about it.

Being that Car Bomb is listed in MMA and not PA should say it all.

^ My bad, I should have said the sub genre and not the band's name. I owe you one.
