ARTHUR BROWN's KINGDOM COME Still crazy after all these years and still still rocking away till Kingdom Come over fifty years after first setting the world alight with "Fire" back in 1968.
DAVE BROCK A chip off the old Brock when it comes to Space Rock, Dave Brock & Hawkwind have spawned many space progeny over the years. Dave Brock is the Lifeforce of Hawkwind, being the one and only constant member in the space-time continuum. He released the cunningly-tiled album "SpaceBrock" in the year 2000, which is included here even though it was misleadingly released as Hawkwind's 23rd studio album, obviously because in BrockWorld a Hawkwind album would shift ten times as many copies at the record stores as a Dave Brock solo album. That's life, Jim.....
BRAST BURN Amon Duul III? Brast Burn were an obscure Japanese hippie ensemble who burned briefly but brightly, but burned out altogether when they flew too close to the rising red sun. Who cares what language the strange hypnotic chants (or lyrics?) are in. It's hard to tell anyway. Just lie back and enjoy the psychedelic trip, hopefully without the aid of any hallucinogenic substances.
BRAINTICKET Greetings fellow Psychonauts! It's back to where it all began (at least on this blog anyway) with Brainticket. Sadly, Brainticket's Dutch founder and astral traveller Joel Vandroogenbroeck is now cruising the Celestial Ocean, having bought a one-way ticket to Space Rock heaven in 2019.
CHRISTIAN BOULE Known as Steve Hillage's "little brother", French space hippie Christian Boule (1951-2002) was a peripheral member of the Gong family and a former member of French Symphonic Prog legends Clearlight. Christian Boule's two outstanding albums of Space Rock sound quite unlike anything you may have heard before, where nothing is quite as it seems and where an Elastic Minute can stretch to over four minutes, so settle back, set the controls for the heart of the sun, and prepare for lift-off!
BLUE PHANTOM Magnifico! Blazing a trail through Italy in the style of Iron Butterfly, the astounding sounds and amazing music of Blue Phantom have the Unconscious Power to enthral and delight the listener with the ultimate Soul Experience. Blue Phantom are quite simply the best Italian psych band on the World Wide Web - and that's the truth with no Distortions or alternative facts. In-a-Gadda-da-Vida, indeed!
BLOWN OUT Just what it says on the label - Space Rock that's Drifting Way Out Between Suns with interminable overblown instrumental jam sessions expanding out into eternal nothingness. Why record a 3-minute song when it can be Blown Out endlessly into infinity to fill an entire album. To quote Neil Young, "It's all one song!"
