Short post from me here, since the captcha monster will doubtless do its best to devour it.
These guys (and gals) have been getting a fair bit of airplay of late...and deservedly too I must say. Naryan is a melancholic and atmospheric rock band from Tampere, Finland. The band has been active since 2009, but grew out of an instrumental project that began well before that at the turn of the millennium. They released a self-titled debut album in 2013, and the second album 'Black Letters' in early 2016. The third full length album is in progress and it promises to be even more imposing and dark. Naryan’s music is somewhere between Anathema, Katatonia, early Radiohead, Porcupine Tree and Pink Floyd. The influences come from classical music as well as progressive rock and metal. Most of the players in Naryan are multi-instrumentalists, and their gigs and records have featured some unorthodox rock instruments, such as, flute, violin, harp, cello and sax. The resulting sound is a blend of progressive influences, harder rock and moody ambiance. Band Members: Lauri Kovero - guitar Raino Ketola - guitar Eveliina Sydänlähde - bass, flute, backing vocals Nona Onnela - violin Tommi Niemi - vocals Tommi Tanhuanpää - drums Listen/purchase at https://naryan.bandcamp.com/. As the owner of Progressive Gears - the label to whom Naryan has just signed - it is great to read a post singing their praises.
I had intended to make a submission myself once the launch of the band on PGR was out of the way. So it would be appreciated were any of the team that looks after this able to get in touch and let me know how to progress this submission further. I know how worthwhile this is for any band from previous experience with other artists. And thanks again to the OP for putting Naryan on the forum :-) Anyone interested in checking out their music can do so http://naryan.bandcamp.com |

Thanks for picking this up Keishiro.
First vote cast is a 'no', however...So barring a miracle, Naryan are headed for the PA scrapheap: http://progfreak.com/Naryan-169320.html?path=pa/recent.

Disappointing that the first vote was a 'no'.
And as I do not believe in miracles... |
