Is there anybody out there who even knows Man Man. I feel like they are highly underated on this site, what I meant to say is not rated at all. They have one album that has been rated like 4 times. Doesn't anybody know these guys are geniuses?
If you haven't heard of them before, do your self a favor and check them out.

Never heard of them before.....definitely quirky and a bit esoteric at times ...a lot of Tom Waits in there, some Van Dyke Parks, and maybe some Beefheart and Zappa at times....but in a more 'show tunes' manner.
Not my cup of tea at all....though it's obvious these guys are talented.

Thought this was a thread for the Welsh band Man
Listening to those 2 songs, I like the whole percussive vibe though, and the singer's got a throaty blues like a more measured Captain Beefheart. Nice musical balance, and I reckon I'll check them out properly soon. Like Wu said, it's obvious they're talented, but I don't think I could listen to them regularly - a tad too recondite for me. Thanks for posting it though

I got excited, I too thought this was for Man, one of THE great band's.
Mickey Jones (RIP) towering genuis (even though he was diminutive in statue)
Deke Leonard, still going strong(ish). Absolute Legend.
Listen to Spunk Rock from Greasy Truckers concert at the Roundhouse. Takes up one side of the double album, and apparently they'd been playing the track for 20 mins before the crew started recording it. Man at their perihelion. Awesome. The best.
I've never heard of this band before and the vids don't work for me. I did however just check out some of their stuff on Jootoob and thought it sounded pretty good. Thanks for the heads up
As for the underrated, or unrated, part of your OP: The band is labelled as RIO/Avant here on PA, which effectively means that you've got around 7 people who're willing to give it a go.

I like Butterbeans, but that track was.......like ELP's worst comedic efforts (Benny the Bouncer)......and the glockenspiel sounds like something from the wacky races...nope, not for me.....
