Topic: Logged Out Posted: September 10 2014 at 16:36 |
Lately I've been being unexpectedly logged out of the forums for what appears to be no reason at all (at least if there is a pattern I can't find it). When I sign in I do click on the 'leave me logged in' box but to no avail it seems. Not a huge problem just a slight annoyance. But still....
Anyone else experiencing this?

Were there any technical interferences, like: maybe you keep clearing your Web-browser's cache or whatnot, malware interference, anything unusual at all?

^ Unless you can (accidently) set the computer to automatically clear the cache, not as far as I know.
But it's also not as regular as just closing the browser and reopening it. It also occurs occasionally when I'm just on the site and choose a different page to view.

I hate this site when it comes to posting reviews....
I just spent a chunk of my time composing an inspired review and it didn't go through.
No wonder I don't really bother placing reviews often anymore......

Hi Phil Sorry for being so late to your thread, but life has been very busy lately.
I see this a lot actually, although I'm never the one being logged out for some inexplicable reason Usually what happens is that I'll be roaming the fora chit-chatting to people in various ways and SWISH everybody's gone but me. Just happened actually!.....again. This is certainly not something that only rarely happens - that is if it's not the site that's fooling around with me, only showing me some kind of altered reality, when people still are logged in. Or are members really able to synchronise when to log out like some kind of Power Rangers? I reckon we have a real problem here, and I'd like to see if I could get Max to look into it. We'll see.

I've had both of these experiences in the last few months - ie been logged out suddenly myself for no apparent reason, and on other occasions when returning to 'forum home' I appear to be the only member left on line (according to the 'Active Users' list) when just a minute or so ago there could have been twenty or more other members shown there. Impossible for them all to go at once as David says above, so something weird is definitely afoot. Both these unexplained events happen on quite a regular basis too, I might add.

I reckon it just happened again
It would be really nice if other members could chime in, if they ever have the same experience. Also makes for a better case, if we're to persuade Max into doing that update thingy, which I highly suspect would eradicate this problem. Don't take my word for it though, I know as much about computers as nuns do about Kalaschnikovs.

It happens to me at least once a week, can be a minor pain in the arse.
