The year 2013 will witness the release of a most unique album. Heavy riffs, brilliant violin parts and guitar solos make this release a must-have for all fans of music in the vein of Apocalyptica. Two musicians from the Polish band Krzak – Jan Błędowski and Leszek Winder, previously associated only with blues music – joined forces with Rafał Cioroń, Dominik Durlik and Piotr Wierzba from the metal band Sepsis and, under the name of Krzak Experience, created a new quality in music. Their self-titled debut album is heavy, intriguing and full of mutual inspirations. As Błędowski and Winder say, they are not afraid to abandon the safe musical paths they usually follow.

"The idea for this album had been growing in me for the last 10 years..." says Jan Błędowski. "A heavy metal section, and our violin-guitar duo - I had this vision in my head. And I actually did hear that music! I was only looking for the right band to make the album happen. Guitar, bass guitar, drums, no vocals of course. We did like Sepsis, the band suggested by Metal Mind Productions. They had this ‘something’ that we were looking for, and also they were open for changes. We only had to re-arrange the guitars a bit. We did like a lot of the innovations introduced by their guitarist Dominik Durlik. His arrangements brought a lot to the final result."

“Krzak Experience” includes 10 tracks, some of them constituting new, completely re-arraanged versions of songs taken from Krzak's discography. It’s an album that will appeal to fans of such bands as Fear Factory and Testament, but also to those of blues music. The album will be released by Metal Mind Productions on March, 25th in Europe and April, 9th in USA (via MVD).

I saw Krzak band live three months ago, they had quite an energy (particularly Błędowski, being kind of a conductor to the band).
I've got about seven albums of this band and this one, although having some track I know well, may be interesting.

By the way, Krzak is not known there on PA, but it's a great band mixing blues, rock, jazz and sometimes progressive rock.

No, I know them. Jozef Skrzek even played with them. I also have an album by Leszek Winder, not prog but nice blues-rock.

After Krzak disbanded in 1983, musicians from this band released some albums that are rather obscure (particularly for me...)  sou you know them better than I do. Embarrassed

Well, I have polish roots, so it's no wonder that I know a bit about Krzak. I bought the Leszek Winder album during a trip to my family in Poland, I must confess I had no idea about him and Krzak at that time, it was random pick !

Yes, I know that, I've got their album Extrim, released in 2008. It was their first studio release since 1983.

Anyway, there are some videos of Krzak Experience live on youtube recorded during the Electric Guitar Festival that had place in October 2012 in Katowice.
Mixing Krzak's blues rock with metal music sounds strange but powerful. This kind of music will be released on the album that Easy Livin advertised.

Metal Mind Productions released in late March the debut album by the Polish outfit Krzak Experience. Heavy riffs, brilliant violin parts and guitar solos make their  self-titled album a must-have for all fans of music in the vein of Apocalyptica. The first track promoting the album, “Kattowitz” is still available to stream on Metal Mind Productions’ official channel on YouTube in THIS location.

Leszek Winder: “I was very skeptic until the first rehearsal. I wasn’t so sure until I’ve heard these young guys play, and the music that was to become Krzak Experience. Once that happened, I put my worries away, and quickly realized that something very special was unfolding in front of me. The meeting between a blues-rock guitar player and a violin player, with a metal band was a risky thing at first, but it turned into something very artistic."
