Looks like the Zep fans did an excellent job of hijacking the poll. Wink

Many bands fan sites will send out mass e-mails to subscribers telling them to vote in a particular poll. If it's a song or album poll, they'll even tell you which one to vote for so the vote is not diluted.

A similar situation happened recently in a vote to find a name for a new bridge at the rebuilt Wembley Stadium. Scottish fans got to hear of the ballot, and voted in overwhelming numbers for Jim Baxter of the 1967 Wembley wizards (the Scotland team who beat the world cup winning England team). As a result, last I heard Baxter was heading the poll!LOL

Agree. We had a similar situation here in Holland with a selection by radio listeners for the 1000 best songs of all time. Top 10:

1  November Rain/Guns 'N Roses

2 Bohemian Rhapsody/Queen

3 Hotel California/Eagles

4 In The Air Tonight/Phil Collins

5 Stairway To Heaven/Led Zeppelin

6 Paradise By The Dashboard Light /Meat Loaf

7 Nothing Else Matters/Metallica

8 Another Brick In The Wall /Pink Floyd

9 With Or Without You /U2

10 School /Supertramp

The top also include such PC gems as Against all odds (34), Another day in paradise (67) and You can't hurry love (101), whereas similar lists never include these songs.

Train-wreck. What a load of malarkey...

No Greg Lake (Singer)

No Allan Holdsworth (Guitar)

No Jonas Hellborg (Bass)

No Bill Bruford (Drums)

What a buncha Maroons  They don't even mention Danny Partridge... fugging poseurs.

well they chose musicians from well-known bands...and don't forget that most of the votes maybe came from young listeners.
