As a newly converted Roxy Music fan- been working my way through their discography, just finished Stranded, loved it- it's very tempting to go see RM live in Auckland in March this year. However, Ferry and co are now about 65 years old so there's always the worry when one goes to see an older act that they are "past it" and will sound a bit naff or do one of those dreadful dinner music sets where they try to get by on the crowd's gentle nostalgia. Are my fears justified or can another RM fan attest that they are still alive and kicking at shows?

Yeah absolutely, I personally missed their latest tour which I heard was good, but they are excellent live and usually have a good mix of oldies thrown in for the old fans...like me!Smile

 Go.It may be your last chance.Auckland is a long way from England.
I saw them on their last tours and they were excellent.Seen them about 10 times,
and they are still great.Not like the old days obviously,but isn't that always the case.
If Paul Thompson  is touring with them,you are in for a treat.Very under rated drummer.Ferry's voice is still great.
So there.

Hi Textbook!

I'm a long-time Roxy music fan, seen them several times,
last time in 2010.
2011 also was fabulous I've heard.
Check out on YouTube, gives a good impression.

I saw Ferry solo last summer and really enjoyed the concert. I can only imagine Roxy would be even better.
