I only listed his Crazy World of Arthur Brown and Arthur Brown's Kingdom Come albums.  For me, it's definitely between Arthur Brown's Kingdom Come's "Galactic Zoo Dossier" and "Journey".

My vote goes to "Journey" mainly for Time Captains and Gypsy.

I think the 4 Arthur Brown's Kingdom Come albums make this poll deserving of being in the Prog Polls section...

I can't vote as all I've heard is Crazy World and Galactic Zoo Dossier.  But I'd be surprised if I find something by him I like more than Crazy World.  It's just so good, specifically the first side.

All are worthy albums, but Galactic Zoo is in a class of its own.

Can you tell me where we're headin'?
Lincoln County Road or Armageddon.

Agreed, and it presses all the right Prog buttons in Arthur's very eclectic output. Clap

For me though, the Crazy World of Arthur Brown debut album, although much less proggy than the subsequent Kingdom Come material, is a standalone masterpiece in a genre all of its own (and just maybe my favourite album of all time, at least for this week Big smile)

The mini suite of which Fire is the climax is every bit as credible as a rock opera as Tommy etc

Unique artist, wonderful guy (saw that BBC prog documentary). Unfortunately I've only got the two albums with the most votes, so I can't vote. They are both great btw, but his debut is such a magnificent  trip. There's a only a dozen or so 60's psych albums that feels like more than just spiced up popsongs, and Crazy World of Arthur Brown is one of them.

But don't believe in me

I love the debut; it's terrific too. At another time I could have voted for that.

I see the album Kingdom Come has a vote, but I wasn't that impressed by it.

Yep, that Crazy World album is something special, particularly the Fire suite.  I find the R&B-type stuff a little less compelling.

In lieu of my usual 'Friday Night Drunken Poll', which is usually pretty random, let me just reiterate Arthur's question:

Why is it that we creep?

"I am the God of hell fire...And I bring you Fire"

The Crazy world is unbeatable.

Hi,

Arthur Brown was interesting and one of those ... weird ones out there. I, personally, did not think that his material in those early days was that good, and Kingdom Come had some interesting things, but ... it was not ... a totally satisfying experience, at least for me.

Later on, Arthur also did some voice stuff with Klaus Schulze, which is excellent, but it not something that most people can appreciate, but it does speak for his poetic and free form side, and adds to his legacy big time.
Music is not just for listening ... it is for LIVING ... you got to feel it to know what's it about! Not being told!

Good to see mention of good old Arthur here! Clap I have only heard three of these, but nothing comes close to Crazy World.

Lets not forget his amazing work on the opening track of Alan Parson's The Turn of a Friendly Card.  That was my introduction to Arthur.

I don't often implore our visitors.  Crazy World is worth it.  Come and Buy.  Time/Confusion.  This is pure brilliance.  Galactic Zoo  is in yet another world.  Arthur Brown is the Man.

Im suprised not so many people have vote for Journey, which is a personal and very trippy favourite.  My vote is obvious i think haha but Arthur Brown is a genius, i swear.
