Ok, sorry to post this here, but no one I know can suggest a reason why the sound from my Youtube account is muted, muffled and very quiet, regardless of how high I have the volume up. This started about a month ago, and is infuriating. I've looked for how to edit settings in my account, and from my control panel, but there is nothing.

The output from my media player is fine.

Any ideas??

Have you tried converting the files from FLV to AVI, so that it goes through your media player instead?

No, I've not tried that. How do you do that?

FLV to AVI converter program.

Might also want to make sure you have an up to date DivX codec as well, because otherwise some videos might not work with many media players.

Are you using a Mac or PC? Did you update XP or OS 10x? It could be related to a software update.

Hi crimhead, I'm running a PC with XP. I've not updated XP since I bought the machine with it installed 2 years ago.
