Inspired in the 5th album phenomenom thread, I thought... hey, why don´t just pick the best first album, the best second, the best third.... and so on until we just can pick Zappa, Zorn and Wakeman LOLLOLLOL

pretty simple!

1st album - In the court... - King Crimson (dah´)
2nd album - Of natural history - Sleepytime Gorilla museum
3rd album - Lateralus - Tool
4th album - Foxtrot - Genesis
5th album - Close to the edge - Yes (again, dah´)
6th album - Still life - VDGG
7th album - Relayer - Yes
8th album - Discipline - King Crimson
9th album - Wish you were here - Pink Floyd

...and thats how far Im getting
"You want me to play what, Robert?"

1:  PFM - Storia di un Minuto
2: Queen - II
3: IQ - The Wake
4: Kansas - Leftoverture or Gentle Giant - Octopus
5: Genesis - Selling England by the Pound
6: The Moody Blues - A Question of Balance (the Lamb is better but my reputation is at stake here...I can't list a bunch of Genesis....who am I kiddin', there's no avoiding it!)
7: Yes - Relayer
8: Jethro Tull - Minstrel in the Gallery or Yes - Going for the One
9: Genesis - And then there were three
10: Pink Floyd - Animals
11:Jethro Tull - Heavy Horses
12: Rush - Hold Your Fire (I couldn't resist, sorry)
13: Steve Hackett - To Watch the Storms (my math is probably off though)
14: Frank Zappa - Apostrophe (math again...?)

1-5:  Trespass to LLDOB (Gabriel-era Genesis)
6-9:  Yes Album, Fragile, Relayer, GFTO (Yes)
10-13:  ELP, PAAE, Tarkus, BSS (ELP)
14-16:  Aqualung, TAAB, SFTW (Jethro Tull)
17-18:  Kansas, SFA (Kansas)

As I think about it more, I would add (or intersperse) various Flower Kings albums, Marillion (Fish-era, especially), Spock's Beard, and anything else Roine Stolt has played on - Kaipa; Transatlantic...

You both didn't understand the el böthy's idea. He mean you to chose your favourite debut album, second album, third album etc. from all the bands overall.

I just realised that I'm not able to chose only on album to each position. There is to many excellent debuts, second, third, and so on albums. Just can't chose - love them all!!!
