Maybe it has something to do with the fixing up of the forum?

Only collaborators should be able to edit their reviews.

Hmm. M@X finally fixed this? Cry It was a useful feature, even for non-collaborators like myself...

Yes, there does seem to have been a bug which allowed others to edit their reviews.

Best to go for a Prog reviewer status (see the FAQ's threadWink)

I noticed that. I didn't want to use it because a couple of misspellings in one of my reviews is hilarious.

I'd love too - but so far I've only got 5 reviews done. Few drafts are penned, but it takes time...

But it's stupid that only "distinguished reviewers" can edit their reviews. Normal people can change their opinions too or decide to reword something, and if this website really cares about providing good reviews for those interested, anyone would be able to edit his review. Sure, people who put in the time and effort to write lots of reviews should get some recognition--that's why they get an extra star and their reviews go on the top of the page. Our current system, however, is mere elitism.

If you want to update a review Ghandi2, jsut send the revised text to Atkingani or myself, and we'll be happy to oblige.

The facility to edit reviews is intended as a reward for those who regularly submit great reviews. Also, from a practical point of view, it would be impossible to monitor all the edits to reviews if the facility was open to everyone.
