What's so ridiculous about Blue Monday? I think it's a great song.

Is this what you mean?:
Human League "Don't You Want Me Baby" and "Facination"
The Vapors "Turning Japanese"
The Pursuit Of Happiness "I'm An Adult Now" (especially if you can find the original independant version).
Trio "Da Da Da"
Nena "99 Luftbalons"
Adam Ant "Goody Two Shoes"
Haircut 100 "Love Plus One"
Flying Pickets "Only You"
Last (and maybe least):
Wall Of Voodoo "Mexican Radio"
Featuring everyone's favourite lyric "I wish I was in Tijuana/ Eating barbequed iguana"

they locked up the wrong man."

Wow....80s synth pop, I am here. I love New Order, they are great group, howver never did nor never will reach the lofty heights of Joy Division's genius. More to the point, I love New Order. "Blue Monday" is great song, and sadly, a horrible pop-metal group tarnished this "four on the floor" dance hit single by doing a horrendous cover of it in the late 90s.
Power, Corruption and Lies, Low Life, and Technique are amazing albums. Brotherhood is good but fails to reach the craetive par set by the three aforementioned albums.
As you can tell from my avatar, Technique is my favorite. One of the best albums from the 80s, definitely not of all time. Its a fantastic listen. I strongly advise you to check this album out.

I thinks you guys have named enough already! I'm nauseous just recalling the sounds in my head from seeing the song titles, let alone daring to play the songs themselves!!! ARRrrgh!!

Gotta weigh in that I like "Blue Monday" too. It doesn't belong in the silly category.
Asyte2c00, "Brotherhood" is widely considered to be their best album. I think it's a lot better than "Technique." My favorite is "Power Corruption and Lies." The big surprise was "Get Ready." A true return to form, but the real surprise was the positivity.

Hmm... interesting. I consider Thomas Dolby prog.... but you need to hear some of the album tracks, not the hits.

It's a classic. So is Human League's album Dare, where Don't you Want
Me Baby is from. Listen to the progrock albums made the same years for
redicuious music.

"We Fight for Love" by The Power Station. It's the song playing at the end of the Arnold Schwarzenegger classic "Commando"
