I got the album this weekend, and I'm listening to it, and the Songs "On an Island" and Take a Breath" Simply for me does not shake that pink floyd vibe. The more I listen to them the more I doubt that on something Like Animals Waters had complete control, particularly in the title track, during the first solo between 2:45 and 3:18, it sounds like the Wall/Animals right there. IDK, maybe it was just written too lure pink floyd fans. Any thoughts?

I havne´t heard On an island...but I know Waters did compose the majorety of their stuff in that period, although they had the songs from Animals already "composed" (although in a very raw way to what they turn out to be) by 1973...so it could be that Gilmour did some stuff there too...
"You want me to play what, Robert?"

Why did you ever think Waters had 'complete control' during this period? The only time that could be argued was during the recording for The Final Cut, but even then Gilmour contributed to the production.
