OK, just kidding, but it's always good to take a few swipes at it
again, just for old time's sake...

Mmmm... I don't know, I think there's a little bit missing in the album... Could have been... but there's a certain something....

The music is better than the majority of Wakeman albums!

It's not a bad record but it just doesn't hold a candle to the others.  I think the title is what turns me off the most about it.  ELP records had titles like TARKUS, BRAIN SALAD SURGERY, WORKS..........and then LOVE BEACH...???!!!

It just doesn't fit in.....

I think if the album had a better cover, like by Giger or something, it would have fared better, but that cover... My god, in what alchohol-inebriated state were they in when they green-lighted that comical travesty???

The samples I've heard of it sound variable--'cause Emerson's good wit' dem synths, and it's kinda cool hearing him adopt a pop-friendly tone. Lake's a good pop singer, too. But, y'know. Much of it sounds just TOLERABLE.

Life is like an avantgarde play because tuna.

They didn't green light it, in fact Emerson begged Atlantic not to use it.

True, but I was addressing a Wakeman fan so it was relevant.

Begged them? He should have threatened to starve himself or throw himself into the album-cover making machinery or something. He shouldn't have taken no for an answer. All three of those guys are not off the hook. I don't buy the "Atlantic made us do it" argument. There's cowardice in this episode, or criminal neglect or something.

Other prog bands have released worst albums than this, ie. Genesis-Tresspass, Rush-Rush, Gentle Giant-Civillian, Pink Floyd-Division Bell and Yes-Open Your Eye's to name a few. Let's take a dig at those turkeys!!!!!!!!

I happen to think that Genesis-Tresspass and Pink Floyd-Division Bell are okay albums.

As for the BeeGee wanna bees, Love Beach sucks!
