Hello, A product of the new French scene, OIAPOK (ex-Camembert) is the missing link between future jazz, progressive rock, exotica, and the music of Frank Zappa. The word «Oiapok» is a neologism, a semantic shifting between the Guyanese river Oyapock, the cradle of fearless adventurers, a wild, exciting and dangerous place, and the belt of the Chariclo asteroid, Oiapoque, whose orbit crosses that of the outer planets of the solar system. Oiapok is now releasing its first album, OisoLün: a humanist, ecological and committed manifesto. OisoLün is a chimera, an exotic bird, the last representative of its species, flying over an environmentally ravaged world. The
album songs are based on an atypical instrumentation (harp, mallet
percussions...), a unique voice between Lisa Gerrard and Björk,
musical colors coming from the five continents, and chiseled
arrangements reviving the exotica and the space age, the whole I can forward you the presskit with album download links if you ask me. Online links: Bandcamp: https://oiapok.bandcamp.com Website:

Nice album! At TYM my tagging resulted in the badge "Dreamy Canterbury". My only complaint with the album is that artist and album name will lead to almost universal disinterest. But the cover art is nice!

^ I know, never judge a book by its cover, or title! And granted, there are more cryptic names out there. Just saying that difficult names make it harder to get peoples' attention. As I also said, the cover art is great and will certainly help, since I think it captures the mood of the music.

BTW: I deleted the artist entry you created at TYM a few days ago, since we already had an entry for Mourning Knight (here).

Seven months into 2023 and OisoLün is still my runaway front-runner for Album of the Year! I get so much joy coursing through my veins each and every time I hear a song from it!
