While listening to my Rock albums from the '80s, I came to think about how many non-Prog

from that decade I was really fond of, and got the idea and wish for this thread.

So here it starts with my own albums as usually unranked:

Bauhaus  (UK)  -  In The Flat Field   (1980)

Before  (DK)  -  A Wish of Life  (1982)

Celtic Frost  (CH)  -  “Into The Pandemonium”  (1987)

Tracy Chapman  (USA)  -  Tracy Chapman  (1988)

Cowboy Junkies  (CAN)  -  Whites off Earth Now  (1986)

Lady Pank  (PL)  -  Lady Pank   (1983)

Maanam  (PL)  -  Nocny Patrol   (1984)

Mercyful Fate  (DK)  -  Melissa   (1983)

Metallica  (USA)  -  Master Of Puppets   (1986)

Sinead O'Connor  (IRL)  -  The Lion and The Cobra  (1987)

Perfect  (PL)  -  Perfect   (1981)

L. Shankar  (Indien)  -  Song for everyone  (1985)

Siouxsie and The Banshees  (UK)  -  Juju  (1981)

Tanita Tikaram  (UK)  -  Ancient Heart  (1988)

U2  (IRL)   -  War    (1983)

some additional

Black Flag  (USA)  -  My War   (1983)

Dire Straits  (UK)  -  Love over Gold   (1982)

Mission of Burma  (USA)  -  VS.  (1982)

Sade  (UK)   -  Diamond Life  (1984)

And enjoy yourself! Tongue

Hmmm... off the top of my head...

The Fixx - Shuttered Room
The Fixx - Reach the Beach
Billy Joel - The Nylon Curtain
Thomas Dolby - The Golden Age of Wireless
Thomas Dolby - The Flat Earth
Pete Townshend - White City
Men at Work - Business As Usual

I'm tempted to list the Talking Heads and even something like Tony Banks' The Fugitive or ELO's Time, but these are already on PA.

I don't listen much to Kate Bush, but I still think she belongs to PA, I understand why she got added to PA. You say you love her music and yet question her being on PA? Talk about weird... Stern SmileLOL

Roxy Music is more than glam rock, always was, so again, I see no controversy of them being on PA. I think they were under "art-rock" before art-rock got divided into crossover and eclectic. Got no problem with RM being under crossover prog here on PA.

Talk Talk are on PA because of their last two albums. Again, no controversy here.
