I know it's utterly lame, but I can't be the only one...
who on finding out he used to produce/make music for dreadful pap like Atomic Kitten...
hesitated on listening to or buying Frost's music!

I was aware of it but no, it didn't make any difference to me listening to Frost.

So what? The mans gotta eat. Tossing off some sh*tty pop music to pay the bills is not exactly lying to parliament, fiddling your expenses or pimping out rent boys to the Russian mafia. It's music FFS. As Geddy Lee once said "It's hardly the noblest of pursuits" Prog fans need to get over themselves sometimes...

He also played keyboards for Joe Satriani's touring band. Now that's a good gig.

I also saw an interview where he said writing a 3 minute pop song is the toughest thing ever. So kudos to him. Lights Out off the new album is pretty much that. Roine Stolt shared this view regarding writing pop songs as well.

A good musician is a good musician, no matter what. Jannik Top (Magma bassist) arranged material for Celine Dion.

Well that's his opinion, which is fine of course. It's not a view I share. Musically he's very competent and I've no doubt he's a lovely person. But working with people like Gary Barlow? Tax dodging imperialist purveyor of utter pap? Acolyte of the dark lord Simon Cowell? It may sound trivial, but to me it is actually an issue. Music is an art form and this culture of pap sold to kids, and compelling them to take part in dreadful exploitative talent shows...ugh. That's the aboslutely death of creative art IMO. Sorry.
