Hi everyone in this boat! :) Registered at Progarchives specially to share this band with the world being just one of their fans. Sooo, I would like to introduce you Crimson Blue - a metal band from Russia whose music varies from melodic rock to tough metal with a tendency for prog. Their inspiration comes from a unique blend of sounding - from Yes to Meshuggah, from Tool to The Angelic Process. Here are some glimpses from the band's bio: The metal band Crimson Blue, originally from Russia, has something to offer the audience besides clear soprano and heavy riffs which one would expect from a female-fronted band. That is, firstly, their style varying from complex prog song structures inherited from the 70s’ art rock to nu-metal-like catchy chords, with a blend of extremely low bass frequencies with keyboards sounding at times as icy and distant as a human-produced sound may get and suddenly turning into an intimate and sincere confession. One more hallmark of Crimson Blue music is their lyrics based both on personal image of the world and philosophical discourses together with 20th century sci-fi. The concept of the band was born in the depth of 2008 within dark dungeons of nameless rehearsal studios and even darker minds of the musicians. It all started from their passion for 70's art and progressive rock. In the moment the band realised that the guitars were tuned a whole octave lower and there was also a female vocalist with a keytar, they headed for the local clubs and tagged their musical style 'Nu Art Metal', consolidating the newly-acquired modern influence and complex musical ways of art rock. Their first full time album Innocence was released in 2012 on Irond, since then the band has been spotted performing on one stage with Pain of Salvation, Tarja Turunen, Kypck and Deathstars. In the short periods between gigs and contemplation upon eternal questions they still had enough time to record their second studio album which was released at My Kingdom Music, Italia, on November, 17 th ,2014. The album called The Angelic Performance is a conceptual work that delivers listeners ten stories about seeking, insanity and salvation and is based on some images from the poetry of T.S. Eliot. Compared to theit first album “Innocence” (2012), The Angelic Performance presents more maturity in terms of composition and arrangements as well as lyrics. Right in the moments Crimson Blue are on tour as official support of Tarja Turunen (ex-Nightwish, Fin): http://www.tarjaturunen.com/en/news/colours-in-the-road-support-band/ Official links: http://crimsonblue.ru https://myspace.com/crimsonbluelab https://www.facebook.com/crimsonblueband https://www.dropbox.com/s/jdezbqk01bmkovv/CB_Promo.zip?dl=0 free downloadable promo MP3s from The Angelic Performance Album teaser on YouTube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aYNNJrq-4AI&list=UUwcEhBb53uJO4ogeBLLh2yQ&index=4 Photo from Pain of Salvation Support - 2013 Discography: 1.
