So you could hear us? Unfortunately even with lots of money and effort spend on gutting the broadcast studio, and installing a brand new broadcast desk, somebody had forgotten to plug in the half the equipment last night, plus Internet Explorer had disappeared from the studio PC, so no contact with outside life. Instead had to go back to the old decrepid studio with 15 year old CD players etc. and me no a happy bunny and fighting my annoyance and the kit. My daughter who now does a show on Royal Holloway's student station, was very quick to point out my errors........so I suppose she could hear the webcast. Once I had controlled my adrenaline levels, I hope most of the covers request show was okay.

My daughter has just started doing a 1 hour show (4pm Wednesdays - Brit  pop but I'm pushing her to play The Cardiacs) at Royal Holloway College, LU's Radio Insanity station  - they appear to have more freedom than us here at Loughborough.

It is frustrating not being able to talk to people during tunes via the web, the feedback/conversation does fire up ideas for links and the following week's show - it also keeps me at a higher level of awareness/wakefulness after a long working day.

I admit I haven't rushed out to get the new Robert Plant - and the last Emmy nominated etc. album left me cold (especially anything played by Bob Harris). Where does this take us musically? I note Eric Clapton's latest takes us to the (very)  old and new, so I wonder about this appealing too. However, Richard Thompson's 1000 Years Of Music was a joyful gem.
