ESAGONO : VICOLO (1976)

A real nice jazz rock album, with a bass guitarist leadership.

Stefano Testa news....

Stefano tells me his new album will be out very soon.  This one is more of a crossover album based on the samples I've heard, an updating of the Ital-pop tradition with Testa's warmth.  He also hinted that he is already working on new material for a longer form progressive/classical fusion which sounds very exciting.  Hopefully that will come to fruition one day.  I will report back.

Here's a picture of our dear friend Mat with one of his favorite albumsBig smile
Mat runs his own RPI website, one of the best ones, right here.

This one's for the Duck.  Pierre, your enthusiasm for the Den and your knack for finding the old gems is appreciated by your friends here.  Cheers.  Or Quack.  As you wish.

IVAN GRAZIANI (1973) La Città Che Io Vorrei. A folk rock album I like very much. (Vinyl only). The song "Il campo della fiera" is also present on the 4 Stagioni's album (1976)

I for one am really digging the love in the den at the moment. Sweet vibe in here. I just got back from my Easters holiday the day before yesterday, and now reading this back, I truly feel this place's got some magic.

Just a little afterthought here as I am extremely late to the show, but I feel much the same as you guys, and come to think of it, I have just now been singing Pierres praises in The Krautrock Space
“The Guide says there is an art to flying or rather a knack. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss.”

I've been listening again to Areknames--what a wonderful band! Van der Graaf Generator was so loved in Italy. They toured there several times after Pawn Hearts. In fact it was probably the craziness of the Italian tours that was the major factor in their breakup for a few years. But boy their spirit sure lives on in this band. If you like VdGG, you should listen to Areknames.
